It is always nice to see a band using their talent and potential to the fullest, putting a fuel and desire to make good music above all else. Bigmouth is a four-piece band hailing from Birmingham, England (which, incidentally, hails bands such as Black Sabbath and Led Zepplin as well) who has just released their debut album. You can certainly hear the influence of their Birmingham forefathers on this album, and it is obvious and prevalent what they have to offer.
This is certainly not a sloppy debut. Few bands I have heard put out quite such perfectionism as Bigmouth, especially first timers such as these. Well composed and thought out, the effort behind this is powerful. Songs such as "Nemesis", and "These Are The Days", start out the album with a bang, powerful and energetic. "Little by Little" expresses the emotion powered by vocalist Christopher Hicken's lyrics. And just when I thought all of the songs on the disc were all of the same style, they proved me wrong with an acoustic tune called "Easily Loaded".
I'd hopefully like to see Bigmouth do well and receive a fair amount of airplay, for they work hard at what they do. If you like what's new and hot on the radio these days, you'd like Bigmouth. It's "radio with a twist."
